A rewarding teaching position is available to provide instruction for high school students in the new and exciting field of Cybersecurity, using hands-on experiences in the practice of protecting systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks. Teacher will guide students to master a variety of Cybersecurity skills by applying knowledge through participation in actual and virtual exercises, including preparation for Cybersecurity competitions as well as the CompTIA Security+ certification exam. Teacher collaborates with the Information Technology Foundation team of business partners and other faculty to infuse technology into the curriculum relevant to the modern workplace. It is recommended that the teacher have CCNA-level networking or security (Security+) knowledge and skills, as well as Computer Science teaching experience, and be willing to stay current in certifications and professional development. Further training, such as Cisco Networking Academy instructor training, may also be required. Teacher must be willing to implement a project-based learning style to prepare students for the demands of college curriculum and industry credentials and certifications.
